Phytochemistry Laboratory:
Medicinal herbs are godsend blessings that are a valuable legacy to human health. With its unique climate diversity, the country has a remarkable diversity of vegetation.
Today, with advances in plant science in Iran more than eight thousand plant species have been identified. It is currently estimated, 2300 is the species with medicinal properties
Therefore, in the light of the global approach to the use of natural compounds of plant origin and the increasing trend of production of medicinal plant products in the country in recent years, it is necessary to carry out coherent and long-term planning for sustainable development of medicinal plants
Effective strategies to achieve this goal include identifying, preserving, restoring and producing valuable plant species, conducting fundamental and applied research, training human resources, cultivating and promoting the use of medicinal plants.
The laboratory has been named as "Dr. Masoumeh Shafiee" after decades of scientific, research and educational services in the field of Medicinal Plants and Pharmacology by Dr. Masoumeh Shafiee.
With the establishment of this laboratory as well as a greenhouse for the cultivation of plants, it has been possible to cultivate and in vitro study of the properties of medicinal plants.
Toxicology laboratory:
This lab has been set up to help the provincial emergency centers and neighboring provinces, forensics and the Food and Drug Administration.
The laboratory has been named as "Dr. Sultan Ahmad Ebrahimi toxicology laboratory" after decades of scientific, research and educational services in the field of medicine and toxicology by Dr. Sultan Ahmad Ebrahimi.
